Male Infertility Gold Coast
Dr Wallman has an interest in managing male infertility
Male infertility is a very common condition and Dr Wallman has a wealth of experience in helping couples manage male infertility. There are a number of factors that may affect the fertility of a man. Some of these factors include:
- Poor quality sperm
- Low male sex hormones
- Imbalanced testosterone levels
Explaining semen analysis
Semen analysis is the most critical element of male infertility testing. This test will accurately measure:
- The number of sperm
- The mobility of the sperm
- The size and shape (morphology)
- The volume and consistency
Once a sample is collected a group of andrology scientists will examine the sample to identify if further testing is necessary.
Treating and managing male infertility
For our patients who have poor sperm movement, low sperm count or a high number of abnormally shaped sperm, Dr Wallman may suggest a number of different treatment options. Some treatment options involve:
- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
- Sperm DNA testing
- Antisperm Antibodies
- Blocked Vas Deferens surgery
